What is a Lumberjack Camp?

Picture
They called the Northwoods home. They came from Germany, Scandinavia, Maine, Pennsylvania, and other parts of America. They formed both a life on their homestead and communities in the woods.  They harvested the pine during the winter, drove the logs in the spring, harvested in the summer, and started the logging season anew in the fall. The lives of the lumberjacks are vividly told in the Lumberjack camp. Kids can experience where they slept, where they cooked, where they worked, and where they shopped.
